Between September and October 2025, PT DIC Graphics Indonesia advanced its mission to support a more sustainable packaging ecosystem through multiple strategic engagements. Through collaborations, technical knowledge-sharing, and industry exhibitions, DIC highlighted the technologies and partnerships shaping the future of responsible packaging in Indonesia. Below are the highlights.
1. PT DIC Graphics Collaborates with APRIL and Heidelberg for The Packaging Print Symposium 2025
On 17 & 18 September, at Brits Hotel Puri Indah, Jakarta, PT DIC Graphics Indonesia (DICG ID) collaborated with APRIL Group and Heidelberg to host a two-day technical symposium focused on advancing paper-based packaging technologies.
APRIL presented its sustainable paperboard products, DIC Graphics showcased its latest functional coating and ink technologies, and Heidelberg shared innovations in high-performance printing systems in support for the industry’s transition from plastic to paper-based packaging.

Sharing #1: Choose Paper Packaging that Meets Global Compliance Standards
During the “Unlock Key Barrier Technology for Paper Packaging” sharing by Andre Cornelius Chandra, Product Manager for Solvent Base Ink and Functional Coating at DIC Graphics, introduced functional coatings designed to replace PE film. These coatings, like Hydrect 13 OS, DICSeal W-486, and Hydbar 99 OS, provide water, oil, and grease resistance while maintaining recyclability and meeting FDA, EU, and Halal compliance standards.
Sharing #2: Opt for Vegetable Oil-Based and Low-Migration Inks
At the session “Discovering the Essential Ink Technology for Optimum Printing Result,” sharing by Asep Nuryaman, Product Manager for Offset Ink at DIC Graphics, discussed the role of offset ink technology in achieving consistent color, fast drying time, and improved productivity. The session also emphasized the use of vegetable-oil-based and low-migration inks, aligning with global sustainability trends in printing.
Sharing #3: Partner with Companies Committed to Sustainability
Meanwhile, APRIL Group highlighted its range of Folding Box Board (FBB), Cupstock, Art Board, and Cigarette Board products, developed under the APRIL2030 sustainability framework, which focuses on climate-positive production, community inclusion, and responsible growth.
Together with APRIL and Heidelberg, DIC aims to drive positive change by combining material innovation, coating expertise, and advanced printing technology to support a more sustainable future.
2. PT DIC Graphics Presents Sustainable Lamination Technologies at International Packaging Federation (IPF) Conference 2025
PT DIC Graphics (DICG ID), together with DIC Asia Pacific, participated in the International Conference on Packaging in the Circular Economy – Best for Sustainable Business, held on 24–25 September 2025 at The Alana Yogyakarta Hotel & Convention Center.
Organized by the Indonesian Packaging Federation (IPF), the event brought together government representatives, global organizations, brand owners, researchers, and more than 20 expert speakers from 10 countries to discuss regulatory developments, EPR implementation, food safety, and innovations accelerating packaging circularity in Indonesia.
Representing DIC, Yuzuru Namiki, Asia Pacific Regional Product Manager, delivered a presentation titled “Sustainable Solution for Lamination Process.”
2 Key Sustainable Innovations from DIC Group
- DUALAM™ Solvent-Free Lamination System: A dual-coating technology that significantly reduces energy use, shortens curing time to 10–12 hours, minimizes adhesive waste, and enhances lamination speed and stability.
- Ultra Low Monomer (ULM) Adhesive Technology: A next-generation adhesive with monomer migration levels, ensuring improved food safety, safer working environments, and compliance with stringent global regulations, particularly in the EU.
Both DUALAM™ and ULM technologies have been commercialized globally, including in Japan, China, Europe, and Southeast Asia. The technologies are already applied in a wide range of packaging formats such as stand pouches, snack packaging, liquid food applications, and semi-retort. Additionally, they also support the development of recyclable and mono-material structures across international markets.
The presentation further highlighted the strategic role of DIC’s Direct Food Contact (DFC) facility in Jakarta, the first HACCP-compliant plant of its kind in Asia. As the only DFC coating production facility in the region, the Jakarta plant strengthens DIC’s capability to supply safe, compliant, and sustainable food-contact coatings to markets across Asia and Oceania, reinforcing the company’s regional leadership in responsible material innovation.
Through innovations enabling efficient de-inking and de-lamination, DIC supports film-to-film recycling by developing inks and adhesives that maintain the quality of recycled materials and prevent defects such as yellowing, gelling, or contamination.
3. PT DIC Graphics Highlights Innovation, Efficiency, and Sustainability at ALLPacK Indonesia 2025
DIC Graphics reinforced its leadership in the packaging and printing sector through a strong presence at ALLPacK Indonesia 2025, held from 21–24 October at JIExpo Kemayoran. The exhibition—one of Southeast Asia’s largest platforms for packaging, processing, plastics, printing, recycling, and pharmaceuticals—welcomed thousands of industry professionals seeking future-ready production technologies.
Guided by the theme “Efficiency, Innovations, and Sustainable Solutions,” DIC highlighted a full range of technologies designed to improve production performance, enhance color consistency, and support long-term sustainability goals across the packaging value chain.
A Complete Display of Packaging and Printing Solutions
Located at Booth B1A-001, DIC Graphics presented a comprehensive range of inks, adhesives, coatings, and digital tools for converters and brand owners.

As part of the exhibition program, Irwan Kurnia (Technical Department Manager, PT DIC Graphics) delivered a seminar titled “Connecting Colors: Driving Innovation and Efficiency.”

- The role of digital color management in reducing waste and improving workflow efficiency

Irwan also shared case studies demonstrating measurable improvements in make-ready time, color consistency, and overall production performance.
ALLPacK Indonesia 2025 also placed strong emphasis on innovation, sustainability, and global collaboration, featuring international exhibitors and an expanded focus on circular packaging solutions.
