The Green Productivity Project is an initiative supported by the Department of Industrial Promotion, aimed at promoting the application of technology and innovation to enhance production efficiency. The project seeks to enable systematic management of greenhouse gas emissions within organizations, aligning with the principles of the BCG Model (Bio Economy, Circular Economy, and Green Economy) to upgrade production processes toward greater environmental sustainability.The project targets companies located in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Saraburi, and Samut Prakan provinces.
A total of four companies have been selected to participate in the program, which focuses on developing and elevating production processes in line with Green Productivity practices. DIC Siam Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. (DSCI) has been selected as one of the participating companies in this project.
As part of its participation in the project, the company received consulting support from experts for a total of 15 man-days. The support covered a range of activities, including a preliminary diagnostic assessment of the facility, in-depth consulting to enhance the production process in an environmentally friendly manner, and introductory training on carbon footprint to prepare for Carbon Footprint for Organization (CFO) certification. Additionally, the current energy efficiency of the organization was assessed to identify opportunities for improvement. The project was implemented from March to June 2025.
Following the completion of the project, DIC Siam Chemical was awarded with a Certificate of Participation, duly signed by the Director-General of the Department of Industrial Promotion.
Among the four participating organizations, DIC Siam Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. was the only company selected by the Department to be featured in a promotional media segment highlighting the project:
This is a significant opportunity for the company. Mr. Yoshihiro Takizawa, President of DIC Siam Chemical Industry, provided an interview outlining the company’s involvement in the initiative. He emphasized the organization’s commitment to reducing CO₂ emissions by 50% by the year 2030, with a long-term objective of achieving Net Zero CO₂ emissions by 2050. The segment also presented key activities undertaken by the company to enhance energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
